Dr. Doaa Ali
Dr. Doaa Ali began working as a hospital registrar in gynaecology in Ireland in 2008. She has worked in a wide variety of hospitals across Ireland and Kuwait.
Dr. Doaa Ali is an ISGE-certified practitioner in menopause and healthy aging. She is also a member of the International Society of Gynaecological Endocrinology, a group focused on reproductive health, menopause management, premature ovarian insufficiency (POI), and contraception.
Dr. Doaa graduated from the University of Alexandria Egypt in 1999 with an M.B, CH.B. Subsequently, she completed a Diploma in Gynaecology and Obstetrics at Trinity College, Dublin in 2002/2003. Dr. Doaa’s expertise extends to menopause management, reflecting her commitment to women’s health and well-being throughout various stages of life.
Dr. Doaa Ali holds a professional diploma in aesthetic gynecology.
Initial Consultation
During your first appointment, whether in person or virtually, you will have up to 30 minutes with one of our menopause doctors.
This time will be dedicated to discussing your medical history and reproductive background and exploring the symptoms you may be experiencing.
Additionally, your doctor will present various treatment options for consideration, ensuring your menopause journey is comprehensively addressed with personalised care.
There are three (3) treatment routes:
- Hormonal Replacement Therapy (HRT)
- Non-hormonal medical treatments for those unable to take HRT or who want a non-hormonal medical option
- Over-the-counter solutions, e,g, herbs, supplements
Fee: €200 for 30 minutes
Review Consultation
You can expect follow-up consultations scheduled at 3 and 6 months. These sessions provide an opportunity to assess and refine your treatment plan.
Typically, these menopause appointments last up to 15 minutes, allowing for a thorough evaluation and adjustment of your menopause care as needed.
The menopause fee for menopause follow-up consultation is €100 and a portion may be reimbursed through your health insurance, depending on your specific menopause plan. It’s worth noting that both Laya and Irish Life Health Insurance plans now offer dedicated menopause coverage, providing additional support for menopause-related healthcare costs.
Other Fees and Services
The Menopause Women’s Clinic caters to women of all menopause ages from adolescence to post-menopause. We provide menopause personalised care tailored to individual menopause needs. The menopause fee for menopause blood tests, if required is €35.
Free – if you are part of the Cervical Check Programme and are due your test. Please provide your Cervical Check later.
The fee is €170.
We insert, replace, and remove Mirena Coils, also known as an IUS (Intrauterine System). The Mirena coil is used for 3 reasons:
- Contraceptions
- Treatment for heavy bleeding
- HRT – providing the progression arm of HRT.
Insertion fee: €300 Removal fee: €100
Appointment durations can vary depending on the nature of the service. For routine consultations, you can expect an appointment to last around 30 minutes. Procedures or specialised assessments may require more time. The fee is €120.
A biopsy entails extracting a small tissue sample from either the uterine lining (endometrium) or the vulva. This sample is subsequently forwarded to the laboratory for examination to ascertain any signs of irregular cell behaviour.

Transvaginal Ultrasound for Endometrial Thickness
Our clinic utilises state-of-the-art technology to perform transvaginal ultrasounds for precise assessment of endometrial thickness. This enables us to make informed decisions regarding your healthcare.
Ring Pessary Insertion and Removal
For individuals experiencing utero vaginal prolapse, our clinic offers expert care, including the insertion and removal of ring pessaries. Our skilled healthcare providers ensure that you receive the most appropriate treatment for your unique situation.
Blood Test
For a normal profile to diagnose or confirm medical condition or to gauge the stage of life you are at.
Vulval Biopsy for Suspicious Areas
